The Police Aerial Systems & Technology Centre (PASTEC) is dedicated to strengthening the technological capabilities of law enforcement through advanced drone education, research, innovation, and operational excellence. The Centre aims to build a highly skilled workforce capable of effectively utilizing emerging aerial technologies for policing, public safety, homeland security, and disaster management.

The key objectives of PASTEC are:

To provide high-quality training in drone operations, aviation safety, mission planning, maintenance, repair, and regulatory compliance.

To develop skilled drone pilots, instructors, technical specialists, and mission planners for police and other government agencies.

To impart specialized training in aerial surveillance, drone forensics, counter-drone systems, photogrammetry, GIS, remote sensing, thermal imaging, and other emerging technologies.

To establish state-of-the-art laboratories, advanced flight simulators, and practical flying facilities for hands-on, competency-based learning.

To promote the effective use of drone technology in law enforcement, disaster response, search and rescue, traffic management, critical infrastructure protection, and public safety operations.

To encourage research, innovation, and indigenous technology development in Artificial Intelligence (AI), autonomous aerial systems, geospatial technologies, intelligent communication systems, and smart policing solutions.

To collaborate with police organizations, Central Armed Police Forces (CAPFs), government departments, academic institutions, research organizations, and industry partners for knowledge sharing and technological advancement.

To promote the safe, ethical, secure, and lawful use of drone technology by ensuring compliance with national aviation regulations and operational best practices.

To support the vision of Atmanirbhar Bharat by encouraging indigenous research, innovation, and the development of advanced aerial technologies.

To establish PASTEC as a nationally recognized Centre of Excellence in drone technology, aerial systems, research, innovation, and professional capacity building.

To develop standardized training curriculum, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), technical manuals, and best-practice guidelines for the effective deployment of drone technology in policing and public safety.

To create a future-ready workforce capable of addressing emerging challenges in public safety, homeland security, disaster management, and technology-enabled policing through continuous learning, innovation, and operational excellence.
